St. Luke’s Wood River employees demonstrate a culture of giving

KETCHUM, Idaho –St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation completed its annual Employee Giving Campaign, with 94% percent of St. Luke’s Wood River employees and 74% of physicians contributing. 

“I am deeply touched by the hospital team’s generosity. St. Luke’s Wood River employees donate at levels that are among the highest in the nation. They are incredibly committed to providing extraordinary care to our community,” said St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation’s Chief Development Officer Megan Tanous.

Of note, 30 departments reached 100% giving with the Food & Nutrition team contributing 100% for the past 13 years. The hospital’s Laboratory, Pharmacy, Security and Respiratory Departments reached 100% participation for their first time and the nurses of the Medical/Surgical Department increased their giving by 48% from last year, with a record of 94% this year.

Employee giving donations support funds for fellow employees for emergency expenses, staff education, upgraded technology, workforce housing as well as for community programs such as compassionate care, scholarships for mammography, mental health, and lymphedema.

The mission of St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation is to inspire generosity that improves health and well-being in the community.         One hundred percent of every contribution to the St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation remains in our community.
