Welcome to St. Luke's Wood River Foundation

The Foundation secures philanthropic support to help fund St. Luke's Wood River's promise of superior health care in the Wood River Valley.  Your spirit of generosity makes possible a level of health care that far exceeds what is typically found in a community of our size and advances innovative programs and services to strengthen the health and well-being of our community. Mission statement >>

Your generosity heals

Thanks to the generosity of our community, St. Luke's Wood River is the only rural hospital in Idaho and possibly the nation to have board certified emergency physicians on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All donations to the St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation remain in the area to ensure the best possible patient care.

Some of our current key initiatives include: Securing the Future of Emergency Services, Expanding Pediatric Services and Developing Mental Health Services.  Please join us to advance these essential health initiatives.

Honoring Nursing Excellence

Several St. Luke's Wood River nurses were recently recognized for their outstanding dedication and commitment to the nursing field. The St. Luke's Wood River Foundation's Carl A. Gray Memorial Award for Nursing Excellence was established in 1995 to honor a nurse who best exemplifies excellence through his or her professional nursing. We congratulate Leslie Chapman, the recipient of the 2013 Carl A. Gray Memorial Award, and thank her for the extraordinary care she provides to her patients. Thank you to all of this year's nominees for exemplifying nursing excellence in our hospital!
